The Sketchbook Project 2011

A friend of mine sent me the link to this project a few weeks back. Its called "The Sketchbook Project", i'd heard of it long back, and browsed through the site.. This time however i decided to take part. so i registered for it.
Basically anyone anywhere in the world can register and after paying the fee, they send you a sketchbook of a standard size. they have a bunch of themes that you have to select and work with.. i picked "It will be fun, I swear" .. so i can just do my thing.

Each sketchbook is then sent back to them, and it becomes part of the travelling exhibit that goes to various museums. After the tour it becomes part of the permanent collection of The Brooklyn Art Library, where they are barcoded and are available for the public to view. For an extra fee, they get digitised and put online as well.

My black moleskin sketchbook arrived on my desk today.

The library card that was included
